The meaning of the art of Guido / by Cristina Piccioli
It is clear to everybody that the work of an artist translates in items of lines, of content, colours, shapes what is his universe, what is his way of perceiving life, reality, feelings, and also what he is available to share of his essence. The rest is up to the sensibility of the person who faces the artist's work.
Guido Scarabottolo's drawings touch different chords. In a few words, through essentiality, irony, mistery, poetry, gentleness, critical insight, strenght and a subtle and light soulpurity and melancholy, he gives to everybody the possibility of playing with his work.
You look at his drawings and every time you can read them in a new way and you say "ehi, it seems different from last time I saw it". They are never getting old. The child is always present and he is always regenerating.
